Richmond has a rich literary history and is home to some of the best writing groups in the nation.
Agile Writers is a writer’s club dedicated to helping the beginning writer create a first-draft novel in 6 months. The process of getting from a blank page to a full manuscript is based on the writings of experts in the field and our experiences running the Chesterfield Writers Club. It is the contention of Agile Writers that anyone who has a story to tell can complete a first-draft novel in 6 months.

The Writers’ Network of Richmond exists to nurture and promote mutually beneficial relationships between writers in the Central Virginia area. Our philosophy can be summed up with two simple points: 1. There’s nothing better than being a writer. 2. There’s no better time than now to be one.
